Introduction: The Clicks 5-drug multi test is a urine qualitative, one-step rapid diagnostic screening test for the simultaneous detection of the metabolites of the 5 major illicit drugs of abuse. Test principle: The Clicks 5-drug multi test is based on the principle of a competitive immunoassay in which a drug conjugate competes with the drug (that may be present in urine) for limited antibody binding sites. The test device consists of a membrane strip, which is pre-coated with MOR-BSA, AMP-BSA, METBSA, COC-BSA and THC-BSA conjugate on each test region, and a coloured anti-relative monoclonal antibody-colloid gold conjugate pad, at the end of the membrane. A negative test result indicates that the drug metabolite is not present in the sample or below the cut-off concentration of the test. A positive test result indicates that the drug metabolite is present at concentrations above the cut-off values of the test. Test limitations: 1. The Clicks 5-drug multi test is intended as a qualitative screening test and any positive test result should be followed up with a laboratory test in order to confirm results. 2. This test is not designed to determine the quantitative concentration of a drug or levels of intoxication. 3. This test has been developed for the testing of urine samples only. 4. Adulterated urine samples may produce erroneous results. Strong oxidising agents such as hypochlorite can oxidise drug analytes. If a sample is suspected of being adulterated, obtain a new sample. 5. The possibility exists that substances and factors not described in this insert may interfere with the test, causing false results. 6. As with all diagnostic tests, a final diagnosis should not be based on the result of a test alone, but should only be made by your doctor in conjunction with other clinical evidence. Test sensitivity: The cut-off levels are: COC benzoylecgonine (cocaine metabolite) 300ng/ml. MET methamphetamine 1000ng/ml. AMP Amphetamine 1000ng/ml. MOR Morphine (opiate) 2000ng/ml. THC tetrahydrocannabinol (marijuana metabolite) 50ng/ml. Interpretation of results: Read and interpret the results for each of the 5 drugs tested individually. Negative: Two colour lines are visible, one in the Control (C) region and one in the Test (T) region. The colour intensity of the Test (T) line may be weaker or stronger than the Control (C) line. This result indicates that the sample does not contain the drug or that the drug concentration is below the cut-off level. Please note that a very feint line in the Test (T) region indicates that the drug in the sample is near the cut-off level for the test. The sample should be re-tested or confirmed with another method. Positive: Only one colour line is visible in the Control (C) region. This result indicates that the sample contains the drug at a concentration above the cut-off level. Invalid: If there are no visible colour lines, the result is invalid.
